BERKHAMSTED WATCHMEN ON THE WALL
24 hours a day 7 days a week Prayer for Berkhamsted
Prayer Guide No 68 – July 2008
Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.
2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
And deep darkness the people;
But the LORD will arise over you,
And His glory will be seen upon you.
3 The Gentiles shall come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.
It would be wonderful if as many of us who can join together at
7:30 am every morning – united prayer just for three minutes to proclaim these words over the Valley of Praise.
All over Hertfordshire prayer warriors are doing the same thing over Herts. There is great power in our united declaration, so let’s go for it!
As we pray in agreement with God’s will and with each other, and declare God’s truth, He answers and we see a change in our circumstances. Prayer has made a difference in Berkhamsted and will continue to do so as we spend time in the secret place pleading with God on behalf of friends, family, the church, neighbours, the town.
Pray for the unity of the body of Christ in Berkhamsted, expecting to see change and a coming together of the true church.
· Jesus prayed that “they all may be one, as You Father are in Me and I in You that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.” John 17:21
· Pray that the denominational differences won’t be a barrier to unity, that there will be a working together, sharing resources, pooling ideas, encouraging one another, better communication between churches, shared outreach.
· Pray for unity and fellowship between the church leaders and youth leaders.
· Pray that each worshipping community will consider the needs of other church groups in the town.
· Pray that barriers of isolation, denominationalism, rivalry, disunity will be broken down.
· Pray for a coming together of the church, for friendships across the church.
· Pray for the monthly prayer breakfast at which approx 30 people from different churches meet each month to pray for the needs of the town.
· “If one member suffers, all the members suffer with it or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.” 1 Cor 12:26,27
Way Inn
Continue to pray for decisions being made by Directors and Trustees of the Way Inn. They are in the process of trying to sell the lease for the Post Office and ground floor but uncertainties about the future of the Post Office are causing delays in the sale of the lease.
Other premises are being sought to relocate the Way Inn in the High St. but an offer has been refused.
We need to pray for the future of the Way Inn and that the right decisions are made regarding the sale of the Post Office and ground floor.
Pray also for new Trustees and Directors to come forward.
Berkhamsted Town Hall
Pray about the evening of clairvoyance on July 14th at the Town Hall.
Medium Stephen Holbrook holds meetings every night of the week across the UK.
We claim the truth of Scripture, and declare that ’all principalities and powers are disarmed through the cross’ Col 2:14,15
We declare that the Lord reigns, ‘Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool’ Ps 110
‘God has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father’ Phil 2:9,10
Pray for Stephen Holbrook ‘We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.’ Eph 6:12
Pray for the cleansing of the Town Hall from every evil activity. God’s Holy Spirit is Lord of the Town Hall.
Let’s make the following words a declaration over the town. As watchmen we stand at the gate of the town, and warn against evil influences entering the town.
